S. Prasad Kadiyala has over 25 years of experience in quantitative analysis, modeling, and general management.
Since joining FPCM in 2005, Mr. Kadiyala has specialized in the Interest Rates and Corporate Credit markets. In addition to his role as a portfolio manager, he oversees the analytics and technology efforts of FPCM.
Prior to joining FPCM, Mr. Kadiyala worked in structured product sales at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where he was responsible for covering regional dealers for interest rate derivative products and private banks for structured products. Mr. Kadiyala’s entrepreneurial spirit is embodied by the two companies – VinKad Services Inc. and Foliometrics.com Inc. – for which he served as Founder and President. VinKad was focused on providing technical analysis and modeling to engineering firms. Foliometrics.com provided web-based financial and risk analysis to individual investors in partnership with online trading platforms.
Mr. Kadiyala began his engineering career as a civilian consultant to the U.S Naval Air Systems Command, where he modeled and analyzed fatigue crack growth in A6 Intruder and F14 Tomcat aircraft. As a composite materials specialist, Mr. Kadiyala was additionally tasked with reviewing wing designs for next-generation V22 Osprey and A12 attack jets. Subsequently, he joined American Electric Power as an application engineer. In this capacity, he brought cutting-edge finite element and fluid dynamic modeling techniques to quickly analyze and resolve system accidents at the company’s nuclear and coal-based power plants.
Mr. Kadiyala earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT) ; an M.S. in Engineering Sciences from Virginia Tech (NASA Virginia Tech program in Composite Materials); and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley with a focus on quantitative finance.
